Events

Brooklyn Truck & Tractor Pull

September 4-6 | Brodhead

 

This Free Three day event takes place Labor Day Weekend at the American Legion grounds.  The tractor pull extravaganza kicks off Friday at 6pm featuring competition between the Community Antique Tractor Pullers.  For kids and families there is the bean bag toss tournament. Oregon-Brooklyn VFW Post #10272 will be serving their FAMOUS Steak Sandwiches, Brats and Hot dogs. New this year: Main St Music will be sponsoring the music stage, musical act line up to be announced soon.   


Saturday, commences a long day of activities and features at 10 am sharp.  The competition of the day highlights members from PI Pullers, Southwest WI Pullers, and amateurs.  Food and spirits vendors serving up throughout the day. Capping the day is a showcase of live music and the Fall Arts Art and Craft Fair at the Brooklyn Community Center, 9 am to 3 pm.


Rock River Thresheree 

September  4 | Edgerton-Janesville


If you like loud machines, belching white smoke, and the occasional explosion come one come all to the Rock River Thresheree this Friday, September 4.   Find restored, antique harvesters, thrashers, tractors all for the thrill of agricultural nostalgia, a demonstration of the early mechanization of farming in the U.S.

Think steam punk but in a farm setting. 

Janesville Sidewalke Sale    

September 5  | Downtown Janesville


Retail shops around downtown will be open during their regular business hours and have clearance items out in front of their shops. Make a day of it and stop by the Janesville Farmers Market, check out Art Infusion, dine at a local downtown restaurant, and stroll the sidewalk sale! It’s going to be a fun-filled weekend!
