Interested In Adoption But The Prospects Seem Financially Out of Reach? The Southern Wisconsin Humane Society Can Help

Bringing a new pet into the home is a major financial commitment. Don't get discouraged. The Southern Wisconsin Human Society (based in Rock County) offers a free community pet pantry to the public. Whether your newly adopted pet needs food, puppy pads, dog beds, collars, leashes or toys the pantry likely has it available. All the shelter requires is that people call them ahead of time to ensure the pantry has what they are looking for. Please call the shelter at 608-752-5622 to schedule a pick-up time.

Medical expenses are certainly a burden for many pet owners as well

Sadly, sometimes a pet is returned to a shelter because of the financial cost of healthcare. The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin is happy to offer low-cost vaccines and wellness services to the community every Monday and Thursday from 10am-1pm.

Please keep in mind these services are by appointment only and have limited availability. If you do not see any open timeslots to schedule your appointment, please keep checking back as new appointment slots are opened.

When you come for your appointment, please note that all dogs must be on a leash (no retractable leashes allowed) and cats must be in carriers.

When scheduling your appointment, you will be charged a $10.55 deposit. This covers the cost of your exam fee and will be deducted from your total at the time of checkout. This price includes tax and the deposit is non-refundable.

If you need to cancel for any reason, please contact the Veterinary Assistant, Joey, at jpavlowich@petsgohome.org or call shelter at 608-752-5622 and ask for Joey.
