Wisconsin's Rustic Roads offer Scenic Vistas and Rolling Farm Land by Lakes Edition Staff

The 40 year old, Wisconsin Rustic Road project created by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation gives visitors and locals alike glimpses of our state's agricultural past as it winds through pristine riparian forests, and wildlife areas. Enjoy the beauty of southern Wisconsin without having to leave the safety of your car.
Currently there are 122 such road designations throughout the Badger State, easily spotted by the brown and yellow signage. Each sign displays a one to three digit number. Each Rustic Road route averages between two to six miles in length.
There are several such Rustic Roads in Southern Wisconsin, here is just a sampling.
- Rustic Road 68, Rock County - Riley Road, from Stebbinsville Road to U.S. Highway 14
- Rustic Road 33, Rock County - Serns Road between County N and John Paul Road, Milton
- Rustic Road 20, Dane County -Dyreson Road from Schneider Road to County AB
- Rustic Road 19,, Dane County - North from County B on Lalor Road to Goodland Park Road.
- Rustic Road 90, Green County -Follow Preston, Mill and Kaderly Roads between County OK and County G
Rustic Road 27, Green County - Park Road Loops off County F
