Enjoy Southern Wisconsin's numerous Parks Hit The Trails In May For National Physical Fitness & Sports Month

The President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition and the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion’s (ODPHP) have created the "Move Your Way" campaign to encourage Americans to get out and move for your health. And now more than ever with the CDC easing restrictions on outdoor, and Summer just around the corner, it;s a great time to realize your New Year's resolutions or finally rid yourself of the "COVID 15."
Southern Wisconsin is blessed with seemingly endless options to celebrate National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. Lakesedition.com is a great mobile resource for discovering those wonderful places in our region to recreate. On land you can't wrong with hike through Southern Wisconsin's largest contiguous forest, the Kettle Moraine State Forest.
The Kettle Moraine State Forest
Hike the enchanting wilderness of Wisconsin's famous Kettle Moraine State Forest (KMSF), Southern Unit, Whitewater. At over 22,000 acres of forest, KMSF's Southern Unit offers bountiful opportunities to recreate and stay safe.
Closer to Edgerton and Madison region head over to Magnolia Bluff.

Who says you need hiking shoes to enjoy our regional parks. Search your local library, or Youtube and you're bound to find a good source for Yoga instructional guidance.
Hike Rock County's second highest point, Magnolia Bluff, for a great view of Southern Wisconsin. Located, just south of Evansville go south on Old 92 for about three miles, then west on Highway 59 1 mile, then south on N. Croak Road 0.5 miles to the park entrance.
The CDC recommends at least 150 minutes a week of exercise., that's equivalent to a 1/2 hour/five days or week, or you could go easily make that time on two weekend visits to a local park.
