ONLY IN OREGON WISCONSIN
With a thriving historic downtown cutely arranged around a vibrant commons and yet only 9 miles down Highway 14 from Madison, the fastest growing city in Wisconsin, Oregon is worlds away from feeling
like an extension of suburban sprawl.
(Bicentennial Park pictured above)
Like so many towns in Dane County, Oregon has seen explosive growth due to its' proximity to the state's 2nd biggest economic engine, Madison. Despite the influx of new residents this town of almost 12,000 has retained much of its' late 19th century character with much of the suburban type, housing development filling in nearby farm lands. While Oregon is not on the Chain of Lakes there are so many outdoor attractions in and around the downtown that make this town truly double daytrip worthy.
