STAYING SAFE ON YOUR WISCONSIN VACATION

This Safecation guide is based on the recommendations and current information provided by both governmental resources such as Wisconsin’s DNR and DHS, and internationally renowned health institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the Mayo Clinic.

Getting outside is not only good for your mental health but boosts your immune system. Many of the recreation opportunities in Wisconsin provide great opportunities for families to stay safe and enjoy the great outdoors. Being outside dilutes the virus where it has a lower survival rate. Before you go this summer be mindful of these factors for the safety of you and your family. How many members of the household are traveling together? What are their ages? Is any member of your family particularly vulnerable to CoronaVirus 19?

Keep your family safe no matter where you go with these CDC's COVID-19 infographics in our Health Tips section.. Consider these classic,Wisconsin outdoor activities for your next family safecaton..

Please note: As of July 13, 2020 the city of Madison and Dane county issued Emergency Order #8 which requires all customers visiting businesses indoors to wear a mask or face covering.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services does not recommend travel within the state to seasonal homes or rental cabins as it increases the risk of spreading COVID-19 in public places such as grocery stores, gas stations and other high trafficked areas.
