Adopting On Vacation, Bringing A Furry Family
Member Home
Voluntourism, a popular term in recent years, referring to vacationers wanting to give back to the communities they visit while on vacation. This trend is more popular with tourists visiting economically disadvantaged countries in the Global South. But what about adopting a pet from a shelter while on vacation? Consider this a solicitation to action, for reasons spelled out shortly. What a lovely way to celebrate and create a memorable vacation, bringing home a furry friend. These dogs are resilient, brave and loving little creatures that endured the horror of a climatic event. The hope is to reunite a dog or cat with their family but often times that is near impossible as homes are washed away, vital contact information is lost. Read More
