Take In Some Hygge Time and Beautiful Views Dining Lakeside This Winter
Winter brings a contemplative, serenity to the waterfront. Gone are the boats plying up and down the waterways. Ice shanties start sprouting up and colonizing portions of the frozen water for the season. Eagles nest shoreside and hunt for the open waters and prey. These simple moments to savor are what the Norwegians call hygge, literally translated means "well-being." For Southern Wisconsinites and those visiting the region there is no better place to experience the virtues of living in the moment and appreciating fine dining this season than the numerous waterfront supper clubs and restaurants on our lakes.
In Southern Wisconsin, Lakesedition Country there are great, shore side places to dine just minutes away from most town centers, major state highways and county roads. Here are some of local favorites to celebrate winter and beautiful moments the season presents.

Springers of Lake Kegonsa
Once a quaint store in the 1960’s was transformed into Sunnyside Resort. In the 1970’s, the dining room and kitchen facilities were added, turning Sunnyside Resort into a popular, year-round supper club and vacation destination. Current owners Steve and Laura Rowley purchased and renovated the building in 2004. The newly renovated space reopened in February of 2005 as Springers. Springers was named as a tribute to the town of Pleasant Springs where it is located, the springs within Lake Kegonsa, and the owner’s love for Springer Spaniels.
Today, Springers of Lake Kegonsa prides itself on being a year-round, family-friendly lakeside supper club. In addition to the sunny lake views and large patio space for outdoor dining and entertainment, Springers is known for specialties like Wednesday and Friday night Fish Fry, Thursday night’s seasonal comfort food, and Saturday night Prime Rib. Join us for food, drinks, and fun on Lake Kegonsa!
