At just the 1.2 acre, Indianford County Park is one of smallest green spaces in Rock County. Just across the bridge from the quirky, tiny village of Indianford, down County Rd F. While the park is not much to see the views the green space affords are truly unique and dramatic for our area. The Rock River and the Indianford Dam, originally built in 1847 the current structure built in 1917, spans the Rock River at a distance of 500 feet. Imagine this, the Indianford Dam is solely responsible for creating the largest lake by area, Lake Koshkonong!. The park itself is great place to launch a kayak, and the fishing on the Rock River just below is top notch, a very popular place for local anglers. Or just bring a folding chair with a book and make a day with a sandwich and a cold brew from one of Indianford's restaurants.
And a visit to Indianford County Park would not be complete without a quick walk across the County Rd F bridge over the Rock River to the village of Indianford, and enjoy a Fish Fry at th bar Showboat or cold beer at Dam Paradise.

The Local Bite
Most anglers visiting Indianford try their luck with a twisting jig or minnow below the dam. Catfish, walleyes and walleye's relatives Saugers can be found in the shallows of the rapid moving Rock River. Try for crappies and large mouths near the power station.
