Take a Trip to Troll Town, Mount Horeb for Summer Frolic


Summer Frolic in downtown Mt. Horeb is part carnival, part outdoor concert venue, part parade with local vendors and food along the way for the Norsk Run. Also check out beer and fireworks.


Summer Frolic began in 1969 and raises funds for community organizations, park, recreation and local grant projects. For parade goers park your folding chairs and blankets along the route from Mt. Horeb highschool to Grundahl Park. What would a festival in the Summer be without amusement rides? Less of hit on the pocketbook, but why not burn a hole in the wallet unless you live in Gurnee, Illinois near Great America you're not going do this often.  The Midway rides, fees, and schedule are as follows:


Friday, June 10 – rides open 5-10 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase on site (see below for pricing and information), and pre-sale ride tickets will be accepted. There are no wristband deals on Friday night.


Saturday, June 11 – rides open from noon-5 and 6-10 p.m. (Rides will be closed for sanitizing from 5-6 p.m.) There will be a wristband deal of $25 from noon-5 p.m. Tickets may also be used.


Sunday, June 12 – rides open from noon-5 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase on site (see below for pricing & information), and pre-sale ride tickets will be accepted. There are no wristband deals on Sunday.



The parade will begin Sunday, June 12, at noon. For runners and there are a lot of you in the Madison metro area, the Norse Run begins a Grundahl Park on Saturday at 8:30 AM.
