Madison Home Expo 2022

Raise your hand if you acquired a new skill or hobby in either 2020 or 2021? Chances are there are many of  you out there now that know how to use a planer or chop saw thanks to COVID-19. Think of those hours you logged on YouTube learning how to install a tile splash guard or crown moulding. You are not alone according to the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies. Last year Harvard in early 2021 released data from their surveys on home remodeling and found that of the 50 largest metropolitan areas more of you did or will be doing some type of DIY project in your house likely in 2022 than in previous years. And why not? Many of us gave up on vacationing because of COVID-19. Many of us worked at home or educated our kids because of COVID and logging all those additional hours in our castles made us think if we're working remotely and home schooling why not have the place look a little better for those Zoom meetings.

With the new year just arriving in a blast of Arctic cold what a great way to start it off visiting the 2022 Madison Home Expo. This year's expo like the previous is being held at the Monona Terrace Convention Center. The weekend long event gives DIYers, dreamers, and those contracting out a chance to sample the possibilities of what their future kitchen, yoga room, or dining room floor could like and get a little professional advice from area remodelers, builders, and design professionals. Dozens of vendors and hundreds of displays will be there exhibiting the latest trends in design and building from new materials to green home building.

As L& L Shows promoter and host of the Madison Home Expo says the show covers it all, "damage repairs and everything in between. Whether it's a new addition, remodeling and refreshing your current space, or creating something completely new; getting what you want, the way you want it, is "Priceless".

If attending, be mindful and respectful masks are required, we have still not defeated the Corona virus yet: As of December 20th, 2021, Public Health Madison & Dane County has put into effect a face covering mandate in Madison & Dane County. Face Coverings must be worn in any public place, business, or establishment within the City of Madison regardless of vaccination status. As of right now, It is mandatory for all exhibitors and attendees to wear a face mask or protective covering, and we ask that everyone observes social distancing in all public spaces. This mandate will be reviewed again February 1st, 2022.
