Drive Over To Fitchburg For Dane Buy Local's 2nd Annual Car Show

2021 was event's inaugural year, in what Colin Murray, Executive Director at DBL hoped would become an annual event. This Saturday the Madison, pro-small business organization, is holding a car show to raise funds for small, local businesses. But more importantly, the event is about honoring and giving back to our Veterans and the non-profits that support them. 

"Each dollar you spend at independent businesses returns 3 times more money to your local economy than one spent at a chain," says Dane Buy Local (DBL.) DBL was started for that reason, keeping the local economy healthy by maintaining the circulation of dollars in the community.

The car show features both antique, muscle cars, classic and other unusual vehicles on display. This family friendly But also check out the featured artists, craftspeople, and special interests booths, and a kids parade. Kids even have a chance to buy their very own car, Matchbox car that is, for just $1. Each sale helps the organizations helping area veterans.

Why Fitchburg's McKee Park? The configuration of the park allows car to enter and leave on a perimeter track around the green without interfering with event goers says Murray.

"We wanted to create a nice community event, hopefully this fits the bill," says Murray.

This year the first 50 participants in the car show not only will receive a commemorative, dashboard plaque, but a magnet, and a sample of MooBuzz All-Natural Leather Protector.
