Clear Lake
This tiny, Southern Wisconsin, lake, originally named "Prairie Du Lac" by early French traders, features a healthy largemouth bass population with trophy-sized potential. According to the DNR's (2019) recent spring survey data, the average length largemouth was 14.3 inches and over 56% of sampled bass were over the 14-inch minimum length limit. Clear Lake's bass abundance is above the median when compared to other lakes with similar physical characteristics
Catch and release fishing on Clear Lake for largemouth and smallmouth bass is open year round unless otherwise noted. Motor Trolling is allowed with up to 3 hooks, baits, or lures, per angler.
Ice Fishing Tips:
Lots of people fish on Clear Lake. Literally full every day along Pine Rd to a ¼ mile long of trucks with trailers. Especially busy on the weekend. Hits good to average. Bluegills, crappies, perch pan fishing has been good and occasional Pike on tip-up. Recommend Spring bobbers for panfish. Best access off of W. Pine Road get there via N. Tresher Road

Fishing At Sparkling Clear Lake

This little gem of a lake nestled between Edgerton and Milton offers up plenty of action for kids and adults content to land a string of bluegills, large mouth bass, and the occasional
pumpkinseed, perch or black crappie. Use small jig, spinners, or worm.many of the lakes' bass are smaller, but there are plenty of keepers, and few good-sized ones too. Drop plastic worms and top-water baits on top of the weed beds that ring the shore. You can find northern too, but their holed up deep in the weeds and close to the minimum size limit of 25 inches. There are no walleyes in Clear Lake. Catfish have been transferred into the lake many years ago, any that remain are bound to be large.
DIRECTIONS:
From Janesville or Milton take Highway 26 north. Turn left onto Highway 59 in Milton. About 1.5 miles turn left onto East Blackhawk Drive. Go to the left to continue on East Blackhawk Drive until you reach a boat launch.
From Edgerton head east on Highway 59. After 7 miles turn right onto East Blackhawk Drive. Stay left until you reach boat launch.
