Celebrate Our Nation's Independence This Weekend in Historic Milton

In 2021, Milton FFA Alumni announced that they were no longer sponsoring the historic town's Fourth of July celebration. Thankfully, people like Derek Henze and others stepped forward and took over, rebranding the Independence day celebration "Milton Rhythm & Booms." “One of the initial visions I had right from the moment I took it over was how awesome would it be if we had a program like (Madison) Rhythm and Booms?” Henze told the Milton Courier in 2021. The Madison Fourth of July celebration was a synchronization of music and fireworks display, hence the name. Along with a new name for Milton's Fourth of July are new attractions. Henze, the event's coordinator visited an amusement convention over the year to search for new features to add. He spotted "Barnyard Adventure Show" and knew they would be a great fit. There is also Interactive music show for the kids.

Rhythm & Booms Henze saw as a place to showcase the culmination of volunteer efforts for the new Milton Pool spearheaded by the non-profit org. Friends of Milton Pool, The Milton Mile Swim 2022 in it's new digs will offer registrants a chance to compete in a fun way not unlike the Milton Optimist's Independence Day Run another attraction part of the weekend of events scheduled for Schilberg Park.

Milton's Fourth of July celebration, and there is indeed something for all ages at the car show is back, Henze is expecting 40-60 vintages automobiles in attendance some might even make appearance in the festival's parade.

In some ways, the Milton Rhythm & Booms is more like a county fair with the Barnyard Adventure Show, multiple music stages, and a carnival, midway rides. Henze says the owners of the rides were excited to expand there amusement offerings by 25% to accommodate the increase in attendance. And food, there are food trucks and booths from Milton to Janesville and couple from Madison.
