The Stoughton Chamber is an association of businesses, organizations and individuals who believe that by working together to promote the commercial and economic development of Stoughton, the quality of life in our community will be enhanced.
The mission of the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce is to promote the progressive development of our area economy while serving the needs of our members. In accomplishing our mission, the Chamber works in a variety of roles including economic development, planning, being an information source for residents and visitors, a business advocate, serving as liaison with city and county government and referral service.
Known for its Norwegian heritage, Stoughton hosts a citywide celebration of Syttende Mai, the Norwegian constitution day. Part of the city's celebration of its Norwegian heritage is the Stoughton Norwegian Dancers dance group, sponsored by Stoughton High School, as well as Norwegian flags and memorabilia displayed throughout the town. Stoughton's sister city is Gjøvik, Norway.
